The Captain just updated our position. We are about 450 nautical miles north of the Azores, and just about half way across the big pond. After 2 days of beautiful blue skies, we are sailing through the fog, listening to the ship's horn every few minutes. So no sunbathing today.
Yesterday we heard a lecture by John Maxtone Graham, who has written extensively about cruising and ocean liners. He also edited a book written by a Titanic survivor (which was the lecture we heard yesterday.
We've done yoga the last 2 days and today we'll do a pilates class.
Last night was our 2nd formal night. It's so amazing to see all these men in their tuxedos and women in their gowns, after seeing them in shorts and t-shirts throuout the day. Tonight is just a coat and tie and cocktail dress night.
We also had massages yesterday and then went back and went in the whirlpoool and saunas. It's all quite luxurious and relaxing.
